PRODUCT REVIEW | COMPARISON | LA Girl Glazed Lip Paint | Too Faced Melted Lipstick

Hey yall!

For today's blog, I'm gonna be reviewing the LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints.

These Lip Paints are similar to the Too Faced Melted Lip Stains, but not quite the same. For those wanting a Too Faced Melted dupe, these are not it!

Alright, lets get started.
The first thing I noticed when I held the Too Faced and LA Girl up together is that they look very similar. With both, the actual color of the tube is the color of the product & both brands have gold accent lids and scripts. In my opinion, the script is actually very similar too. The actual tubes are about the same size while the gold lid of Too Faced is a bit bigger.
Here's a picture of both:

I have noticed that the texture is a bit different too. The LA Girls are kinda runny and glossy while the Too Faced is more thick and dries matte, so it's easier to apply. I believe the applicators on each have a lot to do with how messy they are. LA Girl is a black plastic applicator, so it's hard to control the runny lip paint; However, the Too Faced stains have a pad at the end, so it's easier to put on your lips. So with that said, the texture of the two are very different.

Do you ever have those lip products that just smell SOOO good? Well, both of these products smell AMAZING. The LA Girl paints smell minty. I know that a lot of the time, the minty smells and flavorings make it tingle and burn... these do not. The Too Faced Stains smell good too. It's more of a sweet smell, I'm not sure how to explain it. But I'm not joking, if I could just eat the tube of lip stain, I would. It smells THAT good. So the smells are different for these two as well, but they both smell amazing.

So that's all the comparisons!
If you want me to compare anything else about these products, just email me or comment below. My email is tarin@themakeupdiva.net :) I check it everyday and will update this!

And there you have it!
I love these products. You don't even need to pair a lipstick and lipgloss together for this look. It's like a 2 in 1 lip product. The only downside that I have found to these products is that it is really messy to put on. I did these lip products back to back to back, so in a couple pictures, you can probably tell where it stained the skin around my lips.
A good thing to these lip paints is that it stains your lips and stays really well all day long.
My advice with these is to use an applicator brush to apply them. I think it's less messy that way and you won't get them on your hands (because it will stain them!)
My favorites were Babydoll and Tease. The only one I really had trouble with was Tempe and I think that it's because it's so dark and these are really messy. Other than that it's a total STEAL. I think you can get these for about $6. I'm not really sure where to get these, I got them on Amazon!

Too Faced Melted Lip Stains are $21 a pop and totally worth it. They're easy to put on, it dries quickly once applied to your lips, and the colors are wonderful.

If you're not looking to spend $21 for one lip stain, the next best bet are these lovely lip paints. They're definitely a new favorite of mine.

Alright!
Thanks for reading.

My March Beauty Favorites

I'm back!

Hey guys, so I know I just posted a blog and I was going to try and keep my blogs down to once a week, but there is literally so much stuff that I want to share with you guys since I've been buying makeup like crazy this past week.

First before I start talking about all of my makeup favorites, I want to quickly talk about my giveaway that is happening right now.
Okay, so I've had about 30 people to enter my giveaway, and if you didn't know I'm having a giveaway, then... surprise! I am. Basically, I have a tweet on Twitter that every one has been retweeting to enter. If you don't have Twitter, then there are other ways to apply, just go here: http://www.themakeupdiva.net/news.html & read up on the different ways to enter. There are three!
Anyway, the giveaway is a free full size makeup product. And I have officially decided on what I'm giving away! I actually got the stuff for it today!! If you win the giveaway, you will receive a full size Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original. Along with that, I'm going to give away an Urban Decay 24/7 Glitter Eye Pencil. It's not full size, but it's not just a sample either. It's like a deluxe size, if that makes since.
The giveaway ends on April 15, so if you're not entered, be sure to go to the website above and enter!!

On top of that, I have a couple things to announce..
1. I do have an Instagram now. It doesn't have a ton of followers, so follow me and I will follow you back: @TheMakeupDiva_
2. There are a couple more giveaways that I'm going to do, and I actually have got the items for those as well, if I don't go ahead and use them for myself. Here is where you can read more about that: http://www.themakeupdiva.net/news.html

And that's it.

----------------------

Now I'm just going to hop right into my March Beauty Favorites.

YAYYYYYY.

Here lately I have went on haul after haul after haul after haul. I've basically went crazy over makeup and spent wwayyyyy too much money.
On top of that, I haven't posted any hauls either, so I will need to be getting on that.
So bare with me, because I have a lot of favorites to talk about.

1. For my first one, I have two and they're kind of like a set. They are the Maybelline Fit Me "Normal to Oily" liquid foundation and pressed powder. They look like this:

This foundation set honestly made my skin flawless and my skin was definitely matte. I have already talked about these products in another blog, so I won't say much more about it and sound like I'm repeating myself, but I recommend this to anyone with oily skin, like me. I do not know about the "Normal to Dry" fit me. If anyone uses that, please let me know what you thought or think about it.

2. Okay now I want to talk about a product that I absolutely love. I use it to put my makeup on my face. It is the Dollar General version of the Beauty Blender. I have used both of these. I do love the Beauty Blender, but mine got really wore out and I needed another one. I didn't want to spend $20 on a sponge, so I went to Dollar General and found this by chance for $2, so I tested it out. I love it. It doesn't hurt like some of them do.

It looks similar to the beauty blender too. If you're looking for a cheap brand, I for sure recommend this one. I love it.

3. Omg okay so I HAD to talk about my favorite lipgloss right now. Tarte Lipgloss in Flush is just simply amazingggg. It's not one of those lipglosses that make your lips sticky, it's just simply amazing!

So as you can see from the color, it's so pretty. It's a bright pink, and it's one of my favorites. I'm definitely wearing this color more now since it is Spring time, so I thought I would add it to my favorites.

4. Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Peony, need I say more? Just look at that amazing packaging

This lipstick is awesome because it starts off in a lipglossy texture, but then it dries into kind of a matte lip. I always pair this with one of my Ulta lipglosses, it's the perfect combination. But if I want a matte lip, it's good just to wear this. And omg, if you could just smell this lipstickkkk! It smells soooo good.

What are your favorite lipsticks and glosses that have amazing smells?! Comment below and let me know!!!

5. Bare Minerals To Go Eyeshadow Palette

So I haven't even used this on my eyes, I just picked this up a couple days ago. I saw it in the store and thought it was just a Bare Minerals palette, but I thought the colors were cute too. Okay, this palette is AMAZEBALLS. Like, for real. These eyeshadows pop out and you can switch them around. Not only that, but my favorite part is that you can put your three favorites at the top and it SLIDES OUT for like a "on the go" type deal. It's so cool. I love this palette. Also, the eye shadows are sooo amazing. You don't have to pack a lot on, they come out really well. Just one swipe with your makeup brush and it's covered in shadow.

6. Recently I have tried a lot of finishing and setting sprays. I have even tried a couple with finishing powder first. However a lot of them don't really hold my makeup on. NYX Matte Finish Spray does the best for me and I love it. I really love that they have two options "Dewy" and "Matte". Of course since I'm oily I'm going to prefer the Matte look over the dewy. I don't know, I just feel like Dewy is oil in a bottle and I kind of hate it. If you like it that's great, I just don't like it because of my skin type.

This Matte finish NYX really does hold my makeup in place for most of the day. Right before bed, I can sometimes see where my makeup has come off, which is fine because I take my makeup off before bed anyway. It's by far my favorite finishing spray.

7. I normally don't really care about which brush I use, I just pick one up and use it. If it works, it works. But I want to brag on the ELF Studio Powder Brush for a minute because it makes my blush look flawless.

I am obsessed with this brush. I bought it because I was going to try and put on thick foundation with it because I wanted to try something besides my fingers (until I got my beauty blender). I love it, and the price was only $3. It tops my Elizabeth Arden brushes any day, for sure.

8. Milani Rose Blush in Lady Rouge

First off, this product is phenomenal just looking at it. I mean, the gold packaging Milani uses is to die for. And then on top of that, the rose design inside is the icing on the cake, it's over the top and I LOVE IT. The color I got was Lady Rouge and it is pictured above. The color is actually similar to the Nars blush below except it's not shimmery. I'm all about the pinker shades for blush. I just feel like it works better for me. So if you love pink shades, this is for you!

9. So a couple days ago I picked up the Nars Blush in Orgasm. I tried it on the blog I posted yesterday for the first time and I just want to say... It is worth the money. I know a lot of the youtube girls talk all the time about how they all love Nars blushes, and I just really wanted to try one. Well I went into Sephora for the first time ever and almost flipped out because they had Nars. So... I bought this because it's a Cult Favorite.

First off, the color is beautiful. It makes my skin GLOW. It's shimmery which I love for my cheeks to be shimmery. With this product, I don't really have to use a ton of it, I just get a tad on my powder brush and it is heavenly. I love this product for sure.

10. Last but not least, is my Big Sexy Hair Hairspray. I'm addicted to this stuff and I literally spray half a bottle in my hair EVERY time. I love it.

If you're like me, you like big hair. Not just big hair, but big HUGE hair. Teased all the way up to Heaven cause honey, it just looks better. This stuff works and it will hold your hair all day long. You don't even have to use a lot of it, I just do because it's just the way I like it. I recommend this product to anyone who teases their hair a lot and needs some extra hold. Get this product.

Alright guys! Those are my 10 March favorites.
